Knowledge about rational drug use in poultry farming

The use of drugs is common during poultry farming. However, due to the different properties of drugs, their effects are not the same. Some drugs are used to treat diseases, while others are used to prevent diseases. How to rationally use drugs has become an important issue in poultry farming. The following editor will tell you about the relevant knowledge about the rational use of drugs in poultry farming.

1. What is the relationship between the poultry's sense of taste, smell and medication

Chicken has only 29 taste buds, and its sense of taste is not sensitive, but its sense of smell is relatively sensitive.

When poultry drink water or add medicine to feed, the bitter taste of general medicine does not affect eating and drinking water, but when poultry suffers from indigestion and loss of appetite, the effect of using bitter medicine at this time is extremely poor. Poultry has no discrimination against salty taste in feed. Birds have a better olfactory system, so they will refuse feed and drinking water with drug smell.

2. The difference between raw powder and finished drug

1. From October 1, 2005, the operation of raw powder is prohibited.

Because the incorrect use of the original powder leads to the rapid emergence of drug-resistant strains, the mutation speed of bacteria and viruses is much faster than the speed of research and development, and the disease is more difficult to treat, forming a vicious circle. Escherichia coli is becoming more and more difficult to treat is an example.

Raw powder: a. Low solubility; b. Large side effects (nephrotoxicity); c. Easy to produce drug resistance; d. Large dosage.

2. Finished medicine

a. Easily soluble;

b. The formula is reasonable, the effect is fast, good, and the drug effect lasts for a long time;

c. No drug residue and drug resistance.

3. The use of commonly used drugs for high-incidence diseases

1. Clinical application of Escherichia coli drugs

1. Both are Escherichia coli medicines, but they have different characteristics. Only by making full use of their characteristics can the treatment of diseases be more effective.

Cephalosporin net (containing fosfomycin sodium and calcium) has a significant effect on swollen head syndrome after 1-2 hours, and it is the drug with the fastest effect on swollen head syndrome. It can be combined with lactams, aminoglycosides and fluoroquinolones All combinations are synergistic. First use apramycin for 2 hours and then use fluoroquinolones to adopt time difference therapy, and the effect is good.

2. Florfenicol has the characteristics of quick-acting and long-acting, long half-life, effective blood drug concentration in the body for a long time, and also has a certain curative effect on the respiratory tract.

2. The use of mycoplasma drugs

1. Current drugs for the treatment of mycoplasma: macrolides: erythromycin, clarithromycin, tylosin, tilmicosin, azithromycin; tetracyclines: oxytetracycline, doxycycline; lincomycin, Fluoroquinolones.

2. Clarithromycin is currently the most widely used drug in humans, and its effect is better than that of azithromycin.

3. Enrofloxacin is relatively familiar. In fact, the effect of treating mycoplasma is quite obvious. It is recommended that you use the medicine at the right time. Doxycycline has been used less in the past two years, and now it is more sensitive and the price is lower.

3. Use of anthelmintics

Whether it is nematode repellent or coccidial drugs, it is best to use them in the afternoon. After the action of the drugs at night, the dead insects or live eggs can be discharged in the morning, so clearing and disinfecting the feces in the early morning can reduce the chance of recurrence.

4. Characteristics or characteristics of chloramphenicol

The reason for its prohibition is that it can cause irreversible damage to the bone marrow, affect the hematopoietic and immune organs, and the residue can cause people to suffer from aplastic anemia and leukemia.

Features: heat-resistant, boiled for 5 hours without being damaged, easy to fail in case of alkali. Based on such characteristics, it is added to some traditional Chinese medicines to enhance the effect and increase the mixing amount. But for chicken flocks, it can seriously affect the production performance of chickens.

5. Feed additives and dosages for anti-heat stress

1. Sodium bicarbonate 1-4kg/T;

2. Paracetamol 250g/T;

3. Stability 0.5-1.0g/T;

4. Sodium salicylate 250-500g/T;

5. Chlorpromazine 5-10g/T; Vc200g/T;

6. Chlorpheniramine maleate 5-10g/T;

7. Aspirin 0.05-0.20%;

8. Honey 3-5% improves palatability and can also be used as a source of potassium to effectively control heat stress symptoms

The above additives can be used alone, up to three, which can effectively relieve heat stress!

4. The role of additives and nutrients

1. What role can baking soda play in the poultry industry

1. Acid-base balance regulator. Acid-base imbalance can cause a series of diseases. Adding it usually can prevent the body from abnormal or sub-healthy state.

2. Promote digestion and increase weight gain.

3. Anti-heat stress, dosage 0.1-0.5‰.

2. What is the effect of Vc on poultry

1. Vc participates in amino acid metabolism, synthesis of neurotransmitters, synthesis of collagen and intercellular substance, can reduce capillary permeability, stimulate blood coagulation function, accelerate blood coagulation, promote iron absorption in the intestine, and increase resistance to infection resistance. Participate in detoxification function, and has antihistamine effect.

2. Regular use has a good effect on stimulating hematopoiesis, detoxification, relieving summer heat, and adjuvant treatment of high fever diseases.

3. The specific role of protein and energy

When talking about feed, most people will say that the quality of the feed depends on the level of protein, but it is not true. The real evaluation of the quality of the feed is the feeding experiment. First, high protein may not be able to absorb; second, whether protein and energy are in balance. If the protein is too high and the energy is low, the protein will be partially converted into energy for its needs, which will cause a lot of waste, and the gain outweighs the gain.

1. Protein raw materials: soybean meal, cotton meal, rapeseed meal, fish meal, meat and bone meal, meat floss powder.

2. Energy raw materials: corn, vegetable oil, animal oil.

3. Protein is the source of muscle for broilers, and energy determines its growth rate and later fattening degree. Protein controls egg weight for laying hens, and energy determines egg production rate.

5. Disinfection

1. The use of common disinfectants

1. Iodine can kill coccidia eggs, so when coccidia (enterotoxic syndrome) occurs, the effect of drinking water and environmental disinfection will be twice the result with half the effort. At the same time, iodine can kill mold, so this kind of product should be used more in the early autumn season when mold is prone to occur .

2. Chlorine-containing disinfectants can be used to purify water in places with poor water sources or places prone to E. coli.

3. Disinfectants containing quaternary ammonium salts can kill myxobacteria in chicken drinking water pipes, and frequent use can prevent blockage.

4. Potassium permanganate is the mildest and least irritating disinfectant to the intestinal tract. The maximum dose is 0.01%, and its oxygen ion content is high. Therefore, it can effectively prevent and treat anaerobic infection (necrotizing enteritis, enterotoxic syndrome) when using it when you have intestinal diseases.

2. How to use fumigation and disinfection

For each cubic meter of space, use 28ml of formalin, 14g of potassium permanganate, and 14ml of water. The fumigation time is 24 hours. After disinfection, it is best to close the chicken house for more than two weeks. If solid formaldehyde is used for disinfection, 3.5g/m³ can be placed in a heat source.

3. What is the reason for the lack of fog during fumigation and disinfection?

At present, fumigation is still one of the best methods, but the disadvantage is that the operation process is strict, the indoor temperature is 20°C, and the humidity is about 60%. If there is less fog, it proves that the humidity of the air is low, so it is enough to increase the humidity.
