[Properties] This product is a white or quasi-white powder or crystalline powder.
[ Pharmacological effects ] Pharmacodynamics Ampicillin is a β-lactam antimicrobial agent with a broad spectrum of antibacterial effects. It is sensitive to penicillinase, so it is ineffective against penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It has a strong effect on gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Proteus, Salmonella, Haemophilus, Brucella and Pasteurella, but these bacteria are easy to produce drug resistance. It was not susceptible to Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Pharmacokinetics Ampicillin is rapidly absorbed after injection, and the blood concentration of ampicillin is high, but it also decreases rapidly. The initial concentration of intramuscular or subcutaneous injection of ampicillin was relatively low. After 10 mg/kg intramuscular injection, the blood concentration reached 14.54μg/ ml at 5 minutes, and the peak blood concentration was 18.46μg/ml at 14 minutes. The elimination half-life of intramuscular injection was 1.21-2.23 hours in horses, and 0.5-1.5 hours in buffaloes, cattle, pigs and dairy goats. The elimination half-life of intravenous injection in horses, cattle, sheep and dogs is 0.6-1.6 hours, so the elimination in the body is faster. Probenecid can delay the excretion of this product, increase the blood concentration of the drug, and prolong the half-life.
[Drug interactions] (1) Ampicillin sodium and the following drugs are incompatible: erythromycin esunate, erythromycin lactate, oxytetracycline hydrochloride, tetracycline hydrochloride, chlortetracycline hydrochloride, kanamycin sulfate, gentamycin sulfate, streptomycin sulfate, lincomycin hydrochloride, polymyxin B sulfate, calcium chloride, calcium gluconate, B vitamins, vitamin C, etc.
(2) The combination of this product and aminoglycosides can increase the concentration of aminoglycosides in the bacteria, showing a synergistic effect.
(3) Macrolides, tetracyclines, amido alcohols and other fast acting antibacterial agents can interfere with the bactericidal effect of this product, and should not be used in combination.
[Action and use] β-lactam antibiotics. It is used for infection with ampicillin-sensitive bacteria.
[Usage and dosage] in ampicillin. Intramuscular and intravenous injection: one dose, 10 ~ 20mg/lkg body weight for domestic animals. 2 ~ 3 times a day for 2 ~ 3 days.
[Adverse reactions] The drugs may cause allergic reactions that are not related to the dose, such as rash, fever, eosinophilia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia, anemia, lymphadenopathy or systemic allergic reactions.
[Precautions] It is sensitive to penicillinase and should not be used for penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection.
[Off-drug period] 6 days for cattle, 15 days for pigs; The weaning period is 48 hours.
